Q:  WHAT IS PERMANENT JEWELRY?

A:  Permanent jewelry is a chain bracelet that is welded, fused, or soldered together directly onto the wrist. It is a clasp-less experience and cannot be taken off like other bracelets.

Q: WHAT MATERIAL IS THE CHAIN?

A: We use 14k Gold filled

Q: WILL IT TARNISH?

A: Gold filled can last for up to several years! When the color starts to fade, it remains a gold tone. The gold tone looks similar to vintage gold pieces. 

Q: WHAT IF IT BREAKS OFF?

We offer FREE 30 day repairs! We will assess where the piece broke and either re-weld it if needed. Lost chains are not covered by warranty*

Q: REPAIRS?

We ensure the welded jewelry is secure before you exit your appointment. However, just because Bijou Étoile pieces are designed to last, it does not mean they're unbreakable.If you need to remove your permanent jewelry or it comes off for any reason, you're welcome to bring it in to rework it.

All reworked jewelry has a $10-$20 service fee for small repairs. If your jewelry is not in its original form and has been neglected, a new piece will be needed to be purchased. If the chain needs to be reworked, it's at 1/2 the cost of the original price you paid. We can not make the chain longer once it is cut, so to lengthen the chain we would require a new chain.

Q:  CAN I GO THROUGH AIRPORT SECURITY WITH PERMANENT JEWELRY ON?

A:  YES! TSA does not ask you to remove jewelry, so you'll be able to take your permanent jewelry anywhere with you!  It will NOT set off any metal detectors. 

Q:  WHAT IF I NEED AN MRI SCAN?

A:  You will need to remove your permanent jewelry. You can schedule an appointment to get it removed with us, or you can cut the chain yourself with scissors.  Save your chain and we will weld it back for you when you are ready to come back. 

Your permanent jewelry can really last forever!  It's on you until you don't want it anymore.  Like any other jewelry piece, there will be normal wear and tear. Depending on your life style and care for your permanent bracelet, it can last a lifetime.
